Three Major Trends in Charging Modules Revealed! 2025 CPSE Shenzhen Exhibition
What are the development trends for charging modules in 2025? At the 2025 CPSE Shenzhen Charging & Swapping Expo, Hotson is sharing a summary of what we’ve learned.
1.Higher Power:
More and more module manufacturers at this exhibition are introducing high-power modules. While previous modules were mainly in the 30KW–40KW range, 60KW and 80KW modules are now being widely launched. For example, UUGreenPower showcased their 60KW and 80KW charging modules—both in the same size. Their goal is to eventually upgrade to 100KW, meaning 60KW, 80KW, and 100KW modules will all share the same dimensions.

2. Single-Polar Modules Becoming an Industry Consensus:
An increasing number of module manufacturers are adopting single-polar module technology. Previously, companies like POWERLAND in China were promoting this approach. At this exhibition, Hotson observed that more module companies are now pushing single-polar technology and developing even higher-power single-polar modules. The image below shows an 80KW single-polar charging module launched by POWERLAND.

3. Integrated Charging and Storage:
As energy storage and charging become more closely integrated, bidirectional charging modules that combine charging and storage are gaining traction. Companies like INFY Power and TonHe showcased their integrated bidirectional charging modules at the event.

In summary, the charging module industry is developing along three main paths: higher power, adoption of single-polar technology, and integration of charging and storage.
What’s Driving These Changes?
We summarizes several key reasons:
1.Demand from Heavy-Duty Truck Charging: The heavy-duty truck industry is booming this year.
2.Intense Cost Pressure: Fierce price competition is pushing manufacturers toward high-power modules, which offer cost advantages.
3.Upcoming ” Top-Level( Class 1 )Energy Efficiency” Standards in 2026: New regulations are driving innovation.
4.Deep Integration of Energy Storage and Charging: Bidirectional modules on the DC side seamlessly combine charging and storage, representing a significant technological trend.
